How to get to a mill in the Highlands
Flights, where to sleep, how to get around and what to do before the parties start. Read this one twice.
Key date: 1 March 2027
Tell us by then whether you're staying at the lodges or making your own plans. Taxis and Ubers out here are very limited to nonexistent.
Step one
Flights
We recommend flying from San Diego to Inverness. Expect one or two layovers, and remember you'll arrive the day after you leave. Want to land Thursday? Leave Wednesday.
[Airline and routing tips go here once we have them.]
Step two
Where to stay
We're booking out all of Kiltarlity Lodges, a four-minute drive from Blairmore Millhouse, for Friday and Saturday night. Depending on demand we'll also book Thursday and Sunday, so tell us your plans as soon as you can.
Staying at the lodges is highly recommended: we'll run transport back and forth to the venue on Friday and Saturday.

- Pricing varies by room and how many people share it. It gets cheaper the more people stay.
- On your RSVP, tell us if you're happy sharing a house with a group or would rather be on your own.
- We'll take everyone's requests into account, but we can't guarantee who stays with who or the final price.
- We'll do our best to work with everyone's budget. If price is a concern, reach out to us directly. There are cheaper options.
Step three
Getting around
Rent a car. Even better, rent one as a group. Taxis and Ubers are very limited out here, and a car lets you go on adventures Friday before the wedding and Saturday before the reception.
- Shuttles run between the lodges and the venue on Friday and Saturday
- Scotland drives on the left. Consider an automatic if you're not used to a stick shift.

Questions
FAQ
Can I bring my kids?
Yes! Let us know on your RSVP that they're coming and whether they'll need their own seat.
Do I have to stay at the lodges?
No, but it's the easiest option, and transport is included Friday and Saturday. Let us know your plans by 1 March 2027.
What if I can only come for one day?
Totally fine. Pick the days you'll be there on the RSVP.
Is the Sunday debrief for everyone?
Yes. It's optional and very low key. Wear literally anything.
Do you have a registry?
Your presence is the present. Seriously, you're flying to Scotland.
